zip it...it happens to the best of us. It is running, but it isn't very pretty. OCCT is way prettier.

Re: New build for me...
fair enough, but I stopped trying to prove how smart I am long ago....I also learn a lot more in a shorter period of time by realizing I'm kind of stupid. Is 6 minutes and a second a decent time? Is that how you judge performance with this program? How long it takes it to run through the 20 loops with no errors?
Re: New build for me...
increase the problem size to as large as possible 25000+, 20 loops

Re: New build for me...
no, that is what the test was set at for memory to use. I have it up to 10,127MiB and the problem size is up to 36,382. It took almost 10 minutes (for the first run!)..and I have temps on two cores at 51 degrees. Fans are still set in the middle.
Re: New build for me...
ok good LOL, it should take you over an hour to run maybe longer because of all the memory, let it go until its done.

Re: New build for me...
Wowsers...that took a long time. That is a solid test to check OC Results right there.
I still think that the rig did well stock, but I'd likely turn up the fans a bit if I wash really pushing it.

Re: New build for me...
Savage do you want to run the rig overclocked 24/7 or do you want it to Turbo up to max clock when ya start using or pushing the system?

Re: New build for me...
I'm going to use Turbo for the daily grind. Just going to OC to learn and have a little fun.
Third monitor is hung and installed...just waiting on the UPS man to bring me a longer cable and I'll take a picture. It looks really nice...3D Asus is pretty cool.

Re: New build for me...
Well the UPS guy came really late today. I was already gone with the boys to practice before he arrived. He normally is here between 2-3 pm and he cam today after 6:00pm.
I wanted to show my office before:
Note the printers there on the left.
Then here you can see me getting ready for the new rig. Printers relocated and the side screens get mounted to the wall.
It turned out really awesome. Truly better than I anticipated!

Re: New build for me...
Actually Bob, I was struggling a bit on the 3D-Vision decision. Your post about winning it and how much you liked the monitor helped the decision making process. After playing a little Battlefield 2 Bad Company last night in 3D, I'm pretty happy that I went with it. It was pretty cool. Just wish I didn't have to wear the glasses. I won't really jump on the 3D wagon until those are gone...
Thanks for the kind words all!

Re: New build for me...
Savage, you should be very proud of the build and new setup. it looks awesome.
I am sure you will have a lot of fun with it. And let us know how that CPU helps with the software you use for work. Hope it makes a big difference for you.
