Re: New build for me...
Amazon for $70, but they are sold out now (plus I had $100 card I wanted to use up). FrozenCPU has 1 of them in stock again as of this post linky.
P.S. the V2 is apparently pretty important. Version 1 had kind of a crappy display.

Re: New build for me...
Happy to report the new pump arrived today and has fixed the problem. Two near silent loops running currently. For those of you that know, shame on you for not telling me directly. For those of you that do not know, Quick Disconnects are full of WIN. Do not, I repeat, do not build a bay reservoir system without them. Spend the $25+/- a set and be done with it.
I also installed the 3 additional fans. I also changed the GPU loop tubing to the red so it was translucent and I could see any air bubbles.
Fan Controller Friday...possible booting up on Friday evening! Effing w00t!!!

Re: New build for me...
Hey Savage I had thought you were originally using quick disconnects. That is why earlier I suggested switching pumps when you had the noise issue. I thought you would have been able to just switch the connections...
Now hurry up and complete this thing so I can get over and join your forum. LOL

Re: New build for me...
Great news that it was the pump and not some sort of blockage. Watch out - here comes Friday evening..

Re: New build for me...
Win=everything that is good. As in I would never ever build another machine without some QDC's right from the start. I just think they are worth the money. You lose less than a drop of fluid when you disconnect. So let's review: Win = Good. Fail = Bad. I'm a gamer...we talk funny.

Re: New build for me...
Fan controller arrived a day early! I was able to get it installed and working in about 10 minutes. Bob asked my thoughts on this and I'll sum it up with it is pretty much idiot proof. I spent the most time deciding what to display on the front panel and setting it to red (although white looked really cool).
The screen is nice, the knobs turn with just the right amount of resistance and it works well. The face is aluminum and well manufactured. It looks great. However, for $70 for a normally $35-$50 item, it had better.
Enjoy the pics...no more until it is finished. My daughter has an orchestra concert tonight, so no time to work on the rig, but tomorrow I plan on wire management, installing sides and removing film. Possibly an OS getting installed.
1. A little bit of foam in the GPU loop tank. Any ideas on how to stop from foaming? The PT Nuke didn't seem to stop that. It is likely from the red dye.
2. Does the SSD need to be formatted? Or will Win 7 recognize it and format it along the way?

Re: New build for me...
1. It will go away on it's own just make sure the loops are topped up as best you get them.
2. just make sure your BIOs is set to ACHI and not IDE and it will do the rest, don't format a SSD.

Re: New build for me...
So it's done...
Going to move it over to the desk after some lunch and press the power button. I'm pretty geeked. As one knows, you never know what happens when you push that power button for the first time. So many things could go right or wrong. I really don't care and I say that before I push the button because if something does go wrong, it is not my fault. I rushed nothing. I took no short cuts. I have checked everything multiple times. If she doesn't fire, it's RMA time and I can deal with that. Sure, I hope she fires...the processor works, RAM sticks all work, MB is fine, GPU's are good...anyone just dieing to hear the outcome?

Re: New build for me...
So far so good...one annoyance I have had is the boot gets roadblocked by a missing CPU fan. I have to hit F1 to avoid. I have to figure out how to bypass that. Anyone know the answer to that little one...being my first water cooled rig, I've never had to deal with that one. Also, my 6.0Gb/s HDD's are not showing up at all. I'll work on that next.
Win 7 is activated and all seems well for now. Still has lots of updates, but it's getting there. I'm posting from the new rig with this post.
Re: New build for me...
From memory Cpu fan stuff is in the power tab of bios .....click on cpu fan >monitoring and you get the choice of turning it off

Re: New build for me...
I found it...thank you it is exactly where grumpydaddy has stated. It was getting annoying with the 6 billion restarted to update Win 7. Still can't get the HDD's to be seen, but it is installing SP1 for Win 7. I'll be messing with it soon enough. Here are some pics with the lights on. I'll show the completed set-up next week when the third monitor gets here. If there are any specific pictures that you would like to see, please let me know. For those that don't know, all of these pictures have been taken with my moto droid X.
Any can feel free to link to the thread if they want. I'm going to be bust for a little while, but I plan on posting it to a few people later tonight.
