Re: Friday
Wow! Nice pictures smduff! We are getting ready for some hot weather as well. I'm ready for a beer.
P.S. I finally got around to working on the HTPC and put another video card in it to test the lack of video. I confirmed working card produced no video. It is strange...the MB is responsive for the power and reset, but I now notice it is not making any beeps at power up. I'm wondering if that is the true culprit. Time to do some reading on the ASUS P5Q-E...

Re: Friday
Thanks Andre, so you have a confirmed working video card and still no video? No beeps either, does your board have another pcie slot to see if it is the one your populating currently?

Re: Friday
I'll test it tomorrow. I know the video card works because I threw it in my rig and it worked fine. I have not checked the other slots. To be honest, I saw the monitor didn't work (still) and went out to cut grass after calling the rig a bad name (several). I know the monitor works because it will display off a laptop. The primary HDD works as it was in my rig to steal some files yesterday. Tomorrow night I'll check the other slots, yank ram chips, different cables, etc. If it isn't working by Sunday, I'm ordering some parts. I don't have time to let a machine give me attitude :D:
Re: Friday
Nice pics Steve, looks like the kids had fun.
Andre, I use to run the same board with my Q9550. I blew all the fan power headers on it and built this rig. And then took the Q9550 and Q6600 I had and bought 2 inexpensive ASRock poards and built 2 puters for the kids. The ASRock boards are great little boards.
Sounds like a board gone bad to me from what you have described. Good luck with it!

Re: Friday
Thanks...it's the dang MB. Trying to find a 775 with 4 slots for DDR2...not that many choices any more.
Re: Friday
Go with a H67 and upgrade.
