Did you say you were running your ram at 1600? I would not be surprised if the dump files refer to a ram issue?

Let us know.

have not looked at them yet but pretty sure in the initial post regarding a possible mem issue more concerned about the mini DVD burner and possible driver issues at this time Turbo enabled BLCK @ 133x22 23C idle
133x24 64C 100%

anyhow here is an update I just got a little while ago this eve ..apparently the good folks over at Asetek decided to send me Antec KÜHLER H2O 620! ..[these guys are really sharp if you ask me] so I 'l likely see what all going on and what I can do with that rather inexpensive cooler and poss fan setup while waiting for the Asetec smile:

Hey Peter that is great about the H20! Do you have a contact there? If they would like to provide a review sample I would be glad to write a proper review for it on the forum. Maybe we could do some kind of free advertising for them here on the site?

yeah it's ram issue but more likely to be a buggy driver issue caused the only bsod stop code 0x0000000C5 when doing the disc burn with no OC will do a disk burn in linux later and likely repair the drivers an Win 7 install

Joel I'll shoot ya Pm about the Asetek details but if guys go here

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYkL3CESvl4&feature=player_embedded

you can see what a nice responses I received from Asetekinc
still I real nice surprise for me and look forward to it

rrplay=peter5331 thanks Asetek ! smile:

I had received that Asetek/Antec Kuhler 620 hydro cooler the other day and it was my intention to see if it would even be possible to get in inside the SilverStone SG 07 chassis >>it is most likely that I had received the cooler from them, sue to the short comment on uTube with the product. It took a bit of doing to position the radiator and ending up changing quite a bit of the wiring.every mm counts. and may reposition the actuall pump mount a bit because when the fan assembly is installed the hoses rotate in way to alleviate unwanted contact and promote airflow out the sides of the chassis. I may experiment with the position another time to get slightly better air flow. both fans are pulling into the case there are only these 2 fans other than the gpu cooler

was it worth it ?? very very quite ! I am going to spoiled forever with the quiet .

temps at boot win7 idle with default clocks Turbo enabled = 17C just used Asetek TIM
ran a bit of LinPack last night default Turbo enabled had I think about 50C tops which is a heck of a lot better and quiet

prior did a full bios reset & noticed that the mem stiks are NOT on GB list of supported mem list for that particular mobo also notice that CPU and PCI clock drives are 900mV instead of previous 700mV with prior OC attempts

To Do get a bit longer screws for radiator mount just a tad short
post pics on FB Asetek to acknowledge the nice prize not to sure how this mod is going to go over
what do you guys think ?

damn photobucket want to default to mobile likely because Firefox 4 does not have a compat plug in

thanks joel and guys for allowing me to share and I'll post back with the OC

Nice pics rrplay...I hope you can get the cover on that case when you get them mounted. Reminds me of the old Samsonite commercials with people jumping up and down on the suitcase trying to get it closed ROTFLMAO

Glad to hear it is working out so well!

Post by rrplay Thu Mar 31, 2011 8:25 am

thanks Savage ..it actually is closes a lot easier than it did before! cause I took the time to reroute several of the cables there is quite a bit of clearance from the top of the pump to than fan but actually it is along the sides of the chassis at the front with psu cables

... believe me was hustling every mm especially with the HD cage HD plugs and optical drive plugs had to position the rad/fan assembly this was the pita but worth it I guees
those fan speeds are 180mm at 700 rpm
120 cpu colling at 1400 good thing I have a power led ! on the front

Asetek does make a 550 LC but I can't beat the price on this baby aka "Fan of the month'

thank you Asetek ! thank you Zack !

will likely check the OC another day
got a client stopping by today for some HD recovery laptop stuff etc [$$] and will have clean up my digs a bit smile:

Almost forgot to mention that this particular unit has pretty flexible hoses and if it did not have the improved flexible hose i really think that this would not be possible with this particular mobo / chassis config

Sorry peter I did not see any shots of it installed in the case? I'll go back and have another look. I was interested in the mounting of the actual fan and rad.
I have to agree that the flexible hosing is a far better design than that of the other competitors in the enclosed cooling dept.

it is a better design those hose are quite flexible worked with some these Asetek prior to corsair version and those hose were rather stiff by the way the pics I have of it installed i will update a bit later the one I took the other nite are not that great and do not represent what what is is now .
here is a pic from the other nite of the screw 1 of 4 holding the radiator / fan assembly from the top will get some slight longer srewes tomorrow or over the weekend and will take some again

OK thanks for being patient when I initially installed this the other night the pics did not come out so good because I did not get enough light inside to see not did I take a pic of the opposite side with the vid card removed I chose to place the hoses towards the side away from the vid card.maybe the next time I change TIM I may experiment with the pump/hose position but this compromise seems OK .
note when you remove and install the SilerStone upper fan frame assembly you have to navigate and clear the power[AC] supply.
note if you are using 1 or 2 SSD in this case you will clear the Asetek rad a lot easier the plug on the HD rubs a little when taking the assembly out obviously this would be bit easier with narrower fans

Gigabyte GA-H55N i7-870 on Air OC mini-atx - Page 2 SAM_0291rzedit

the other side

Gigabyte GA-H55N i7-870 on Air OC mini-atx - Page 2 SAM_0288-rzedit

the screws I got were 4mm and just used 2 in the top much easier .the only thing annoying is the Silvertstone 180mm fan is acting up ..seems like it is a shroud issue and tried backing off on the screws with the plastic filter hood ..whatever this is not a case that you can remove the top cover while running the fit is not that good.

oh heck duff here's another

Gigabyte GA-H55N i7-870 on Air OC mini-atx - Page 2 SAM_0286-edit

likely play around a bit with the OC over the weekend
the hyperX ram sticks are not on GB recommends really did not have to much choice with any of this except for the selection of the previous cooler fan and TIM yep gotta agree with that guy peter5331 on that Asetec uTube channel he was spot on right with this working and working quite well
definitely no complaints

Hey Peter that looks great. Those are the shots I was interested in.

Let us know if we can help at all with the clocking. 3.8 should not be hard at all with that chip and i think that is were you said you wanted to be?

OK back at the ranch this is what I currently have going on with current Bios screens just cannot seem to be able to lock the multi at 24 x 160 ? unless turbo boost is enabled no X.M.P. profile on mem [feel like a total doofus]anyhow this is the current setup too bad the folks at CyberPower were back ordered on those Corsair mem stiks so Joey Wang asked if he could put these hperX sticks in and get it out to the door to me because I do recall this puppy can easily get up to 4.3 with the Asetek cooler
note the exact model of hyperX sticks I have is NOT on GB mem support list for this board wonder if it may be worth the investment for better ram ...mmmm

OK

do those this look ok to you guys previously had a 24 x 160 with turbo boost enabled and crashed with burn in test with the same volts
the CPU vcore and QPI/Vtt should be similar ? + or - .5 ?

thanks for all the support and encouragement hope to get about 3.8+ with decent temps
thanks

If your going to OC you need to turn turbo off, it just won't happen or at least not easily. I would reset everything to default settings so we can start with a clean slate 4 ghz will be easy for you to hit.

Hey Peter, can we start at the begging? Go into the bios and select load bios defaults and then when the machine is restarted Go back into the bios and disable all the power saving features.
Do not touch any of the ram settings or multipliers! Then repost screenies of the bios screens so we know where we are starting from.
