drawing for 12yr old?
want recommends for a simple drawing prog, preferably free, that would enable my 12 yr old daughter to create something like monopoly money...you know the sort of thing ....something that would encourage her to be creative but be simple enough for a child
If it were more capable for future use then great, but must be easy to learn
Thanks guys

Hey Mike I would agree with duff about MS Paint as it will not cost ya anything...
If you are looking for more creative types of things have a look at the Tablets available to add to your computer or any computer. i have one that has both a pen and a mouse for operating. mine is about 10 years old now but still works great. For editing pics and photos the pen is really a valuable creative tool.
These products start at around $100.00 CDN and go up from there. These systems usually all come with a variety of creative software also.
Have a look at this link. Hope it helps.

Well, for the immediate task at hand we muddled through with 3 programs
one to paint and add text, one to resize rather more precisely, and the third to print at said size.
paint.net photoscape and photoimpact
None of these is great across the board but each does some stuff really well

Re: drawing for 12yr old?
Hi Mike, I don't know why I did not think of this before it is a free web program that my 3 daughters aged 11 and the twins 8 use daily.
They create cartoon characters of themselves and our family and can create comic strips.
It also has a area for making friends with other members a little like a forum or message board where they can chat and send messages to each other.
Seems to be a fairly safe site for kids as we always get alerted of any issues via email as they had to sign up but with our email so we get any notices.
If she wants to join and make some friends right away my kids said they would love to get to know her and can exchange usernames and they can help her get started designing.
