Hey don't be sorry I like it! It's better than the alternative of -30 and snow...
The Bar-BQ should be great got a nice big Eye of the round roast that I am going to put on the Rotisserie and inderect cook with a drip pan for making gravyyyyyyyyyy. LOL Probably do potatoes on the barbie also and maybe some fresh corn cooked in their husks with lots of butter... :D:

Re: Last Day Of August
Okay folks I found something at the store so the menu has changed slightly...
They are called Smoker Bags by Emeril Lagasse. Here in Canada you can get them @ Canadian Tire and Wallyworld and probably a few other places.
They come in Hickory, Misquite and Alder Wood flavours. The wood chips are inside a layer built into the bag.
I took my 6 pound EYE OF THE ROUND Roast and cut it in 2. The first roast I injected with a Jamaican Jerk sauce I have using an injection seasoning needle. Then i covered the roast with fresh ground Sea Salt and fresh ground Black Pepper. I put about 10 baby potatoes some Mushrooms and Babby Carrots and then ya just fold the end of the bag over about 3 times to seal it.
I threw it on the barbie at about 500 degrees for about 15 minutes then turned it down to med/Low for about 40 minutes per pound.
The second roast was done with potatoes mushrooms and carrots but I just covered the roast with a Weber's steak seasoning I have.
I'll let ya know how they turn out.
have a look at the product here.

Ok Joel, you're apparently spending too much time cooking and forgot to send the limo. When I arrived no one was there to pick me up. :(:
Didn't know how to reach you, so I'm on my way home and very hungry.

Re: Last Day Of August
Oh damn Steve I am sorry about that maybe I had one too many beers... na it couldn't be the beer. :D:
Well folks the finished product was just like a pot roast with way to much mesquite!!! The only flavour on everything was mesquite... The potatoes, carrots and mushrooms.
next time I get a bright idea remind me to go with the old original rotisserie will ya.
But ya never know until ya try right.
So what kind of stuff do ya like to cook Steve?

Burns water that is funny. LOL :sorry: Too be honest the wife is a great cook and does most of the cooking here. Stupid thing is I can't get her to cook Jamaican food for me. Not even rice and peas... :(:smduff wrote:I do 90% of the cooking the wife burns water..LOL no joke.
I grew up always helping mom in the kitchen cause I always got to test stuff. He he.

The wife is the cook in this house. Only time I cook is in the summer on the BBQ and that I think I do pretty well.
My favorite BBQ item is Tri Tips. Oh yea!!

Re: Last Day Of August
Don't waste your money on the bags... if I want the mesquite or hickory on my food I will just use a smoker in the Bar-Bq rather than those bags. If ya like pot roast which to me is just a boiled roast than ya will like it.
Thats ok we all ate well...
