Re: New forum
My first suggestion:
Make post notices HTML not plain text, so the links can be clicked on, instead of copied and then pasted into a browser.

I have the same issue as you and I will look into weather or not that can be changed with the forum software and report back.AZ-J wrote:My first suggestion:

Re: New forum
Don't thank me yet as I am still checking on it. I am going to check the admin section now for a setting if available, but i did contact our support forum to see if I could get an answer there. http://help.forumotion.com/other-problems-f46/email-notifications-for-watched-threads-t65174.htm#422783

Problem is that wysiwyg when enabled causes problems when trying to post.
White text on white background.
Which shouldn't happen really.
However with wysiwyg enabled & quick fix is to click on the "Little a / Big A" button.
That gives you the best of both worlds.
In the 1st post I used the "Insert link" button, followed by manually inserting the bits.
In this post after enabling wysiwyg, followed by cliking on the a/A button. The link is just pasted + active by default.
As far as I know you only click the a/A button once, per visit depending on whether your clear cookies or not.
So not every single post.
I left wysiwyg enabled.
Be prepared for members saying they can't the post when trying to reply.

Re: New forum
Zeb the link issue is with the email notification sent to the users when some replies to a post that they are watching.
The email recieved is in plain text with blue links to the post on the forum but the links are not active. you have to copy and then paste them into the browser...

Re: New forum
Hi
I just enabled "Watching" & had a couple of emails.
The links were fine for me.
Just click & go!
