Friday 16th April 2010 TGIF
Good morning everyone :Nananana:
Friday already and the end of the week nears. I go back to work myself Monday and not really feeling that at the moment. Though such as life.
Very glum slow start here this morning , no sun and just grey. Typical UK day in other words. LOL
Coffee is sweet and on the table , please be my guest.
McT :clapjoy:

TGIF, y'all!
Drizzling here too this morning and may last through the weekend. OK by me though. We need the rain badly.
It will be a good weekend indeed, 4H. I'm anxious to see how this Belgian Witbier turns out. I thought it was going to be a dud. Took several weeks for the barrel fermentation to kick in. I think I let the wort get to cool before adding yeast, and since I don't use the heater much in winter...
It may just have been too cool inside from those little bugger to work up an appetite. LOL Two weeks in the bottle for the second fermentation and it'll be ready to drink.
Thanks for the coffee, McT. Hope y'all have a great day, or evening, on the other side of the pond.

Home brewing, guys! It's the only way to go. Did some with my housemates when I was an undergrad, back in the mid '70s. Got back into it a few years ago when a good friend gave me a starter home brewing kit for Christmas.
You'd be surprised at the quality of brew one can make at home with relatively simple equipment. With the proper ingredients...
You can turn out everything from a light Pilsner, on through to Lagers, Ales of all varieties, Porters and Stouts.
They can stand against many of the expensive mircro-brews on the market today. Even my beer snob friends have been impressed.
If I wasn't living in such a tiny apartment...
I'd be ready to scale up substantially. As it is, I get about 12-15 16oz bottles per batch.
I've been lazy this past year, with all the crap at work, but I usually have one batch bottle conditioning while another is barrel fermenting.
It's an excellent hobby and as the Home Brewers' motto goes...
It sure beats collecting stamps!
