New Video Card To Enhance My New Build

He folks I recently finished a new build and most folks mentioned how silly my old 3870 looked in the new build.I am not a gamer so originally felt there was no need for a newer card. Well I got such a great deal through a friend that I had to jump at it. Here are some picks of the new card and computer.
I also upgraded my TV Tuner to a Hauppauge High performance PCI Express TV tuner plus Media center remote control kit as my old PCI Tuner card would not fit into the new configuration of the Motherboard.

Re: New Video Card To Enhance My New Build
Hi Steve i have not yet even downloaded it. I have a force feedback steering wheel that I use to use with Nascar racing 3 but that was about 9 years ago and the wheel will probably not even work with Win7.
i should check it out and see and if it does work I'll download the game but i am not going to try it with keyboard buttons...

Keyboard is the only way to go if you ask me on the PC I have 2 top of the line controllers here that I did reviews on but they just don't compare, I bought a second 5770 and it should be here tomorrow I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do paired up if they work as I hope they will I may just go for triple or quad crossfire with them. The single card is awesome and the graphics are just stunning when playing a DX11 game let me know what you think of Dirt2's graphics once you have it installed.

With all these good words around the place i think the 5770 has to be on my list now. :hahapirate: Any 1024MB card in the series will do me.
Since you've probably reviewed them SMD how much better over a 4870 are they in your opinion.

If your taking FPS about the same if your taking graphics being displayed the 5770 blows it out of the water if playing a DX11 game very nice cards they also run very cool or at least mine seems to compared to my 4850.

Re: New Video Card To Enhance My New Build
They also use very minimal power when idle. Which for most non gaming pc users is a great asset. Sounds like a well mixed up card. Let me see what i can get for my 4870 on fleebay.
Re: New Video Card To Enhance My New Build
Yeah I was quite surprised that they only require a six pin power connector when I first received mine seeing as how my 4850 needed a 8pin, I have been playing BF2 Bad company lately what a great game your going to love the card Craig if you get one or two.

Re: New Video Card To Enhance My New Build
Probably only the one SMD , as i have a PS3 and a Xbox360 for that now days. But want a good solid card to show best possible displays via HDMI on this 32" Panasonic screen. The 512mb current 4870 works but its pushing it on high res.
Re: New Video Card To Enhance My New Build
I would say the 5770 should clear that up then no problem.
