Re: Thursday
Hi
No probs here.
Either.
Any "constructive feedback" is always welcome.
Have you voted in the mini-poll for forum skin.
If you haven't I like you to.
Please read my latest post in that thread 1st.
If you have voted already.
But on reflection feel any different.
Post that in the thread.
TIA.

Re: Thursday
Good morning all. Thanks for the coffee...I may need more than normal. I woke up to a blockage on my CPU, MB, RAM loop. Time to dismantle and clean. Why does this happen on the days you don't have time?
Not sure how far I'll get on cleaning it today, but I'll get it done. Have a great day everyone. Nice to hear you got your monitors Peter!

Hi
Assume dark roast is strong coffe.
I am over the top on caffiene levels already.
But thanks.
It is the same here.
Hot Sunny etc.
Yet Autumnal look to the country-side.
Weird...
Now you can keep tabs on both worlds... Like THOR!
Re: Thursday
Good Morning everyone. Thanks for the dark roast Peter, it hit the spot today.
Peter, glad you like the Asus monitors, I have the VG236 (just one) and it is great.
Sorry for the problems with the loop Andre, is this the same loop you had problems with or was that the GPU loop?
Weather here today is great, sunny in the mid 70's, perfect.

Re: Thursday
No, not the same loop. It was the CPU loop. I drained it and looked at the CPU block and RAM block...both looked pretty good. I'll flush it and see what happens.
Re: Thursday
Thanks for the coffee Peter good stuff.
Did you take the CPU block apart Andre? When you use premixed coolant or ad any dye to the mix the blocks can get a gunk build up inside, they need to be dismantled and cleaned with vinegar and water and scrubbed with a tooth brush. I always use distilled water and PT Nuke never have a issue that way.

Re: Thursday
Well, I made time to clean. It's done and all fine. There was no blockage...the damn flow meter just stopped working from what I can tell. I do use distilled water and PT Nuke. Nonetheless, I took apart the CPU block and it looked really good. I also inspected the RAM block. The GPU's looked clean. I didn't even look at the MB block, but I'm sure it's clean.
I'm happy I took it apart and flushed it all. I put it all back together and noticed the flow meter still wasn't spinning. I researched it a bit over at the Koolance forums and found it to be relatively common for the flow meter to stop spinning in the vertical position (which mine are). I think it's crap that Koolance doesn't tell you to mount them horizontal, but what are you going to do. I see the coolant flowing and my temps are fine. I"m not going to worry about it.

Re: Thursday
That is great news, except for the flow meter problem. Can you mount it horizontal without too much work?

No...I'd have to plumb the entire rig again. Just not worth it. I won't be using Koolance Flow Meter's again. I'll use something else in the future.
Re: Thursday
Glad to see you figured it out Andre, I tend to stay away from Koolance at all times I hear more horror stories than positives about them.
