Koolance launches brutal 120mm fan with 184 CFMCooling

Water cooling specialist Koolance has launched a new 120mm fan called FAN-12038HBK-184. Most companies today focus on building quiet fans, Koolance has gone in the opposite direction and launched a painfully powerful fan with 184 CFM air pressure at 59 dBA.
Koolance' new high flow fan should become popular among overclockers, where cooling counts more than silence. Measuring 120x120x38mm it is a thick fan with a regular 3-pin fan connector that spins at speeds up to 4000 RPM.
The fan has a 2.0A engine to reach these high rotational speeds and Koolance pleads to customers to use a fan guard since everything that goes in one side comes out on the other, in smaller pieces.
Koolance FAN-12038HBK-184 is intended to be used in cases, air coolers or radiators with extra demanding users. The prices is around 10€.

I have one of those sitting here but it was just far too loud to use unless i had ear protection to wear...smduff wrote:Scythe Ultra Kaze 3000RPM 163CFM 6bucks
I actually run 2 of the scythe 2000 RPM fans in a push pull on the H50 now. 87.63 CFM / 32.9dBA
The Ultra Kaze 3000RPM is actually 133.6CFM / 45.90dBA

Nah, that's just a baby
It's about time they thought of putting slower revving BIGGER fans on PC's...I know I went to the extreme but my 630mm fan only does 600 or so rpm...much quieter!!.... How about a 300mm version @1200rpm?

No motor is part of hub but is mains voltage (240/50hz 8pole motor) 350watt Ziehl Abegg FC063-8EQ .approx 2400 cfm ....part of the EBM papst group I think.
I think it is time to have big slow fans in side panel of case ...but serious ones not those I see fitted in some Plastic looking consumer cases
