I installed the two New yate loon Fans and added a 120mm TT intake to
the Door, I have not cut and added a exhaust fan to the top and no
longer feel that I will need one.( for 88cfm fans they are pretty quiet)
I was a little disappointed in the length of the wires on the new fans
front intake was to short to reach my mother board I'm going to have to
get some extensions for it or just take one from another fan I have and
rewire it so it reaches. I guess they are not thinking full tower when
they make these.

I also have not put Plexiglas in on the door side as yet as this will be
a considerable task all by itself because of the honeycomb and plastic
frame and door latch so that will be done on another weekend.
The install of the new water block went very smooth and a nice easy
install I will wait for things to settle in before adjusting temps but
right from the get I see 4 to 5 centigrade temp drop there .

I found 4 nice black 1/2 inch standoff tubes that I used for spacers
between the freezone adapter and the new 120mm fan which worked out
really well as I needed that distance on the 120mm adapter plate to
clear the water lines on the back of the freezone

The new front and side intake are doing their job dropping temps of my hard drives and Mother board
between 5 to 7 Centigrade

When you see the pics of the front intake filter you will understand why I was not pushing much air over
the hard drive cage canned air was not doing a good job of keeping it clean as you will note! from the picture he he!

I moved the reservoir to the bottom an bleed off all the air, a much better spot and parallel to the freezone unit .
You will also notice I did some cable management and was able to run
most of the cables from the power supply behind the motherboard tray for
better air flow and a better look over all.

All in all I am a happy camper its cool and quiet and I will post some additional pictures

Vinny

Vinny thanks for sharing your build with us! Looks great. I would leave the side panel as it is and forget about the plexiglass. You have a fan installed there now and the mesh helps the whole case breath.

I think i mentioned to you that I can by a clear panel made for my machine but mine like yours has a full mesh screen with a 200mm fan already so i figure the clear panel would just be a waste of time in my case.

I really enjoy seeing these builds you guys are doing and hope to see others in the future.

Thanks vinny!

Hey vinny check out sundays thread as i posted a smart ass comment for ya... lol!

Nice work Vinny. A full tower make for a much better install with plenty of room. Great job with the pictures.

How do you like these temps big difference with the new fans!
Why does cores 2 & 3 stay higher then the rest they never seem to change whats the reason for that?

Q6600 and especially Q9550's were known for having the temp sensors sticking. My Q9550 was real bad like yours. It is common amongst these chips...

Those temps are looking mighty good though vinny!

That chip will do 3.6 real easy and 3.8 should not be difficult with that cooler.

Keep us updated. And good luck!
