I made a makeshift stand from 4 standoffs I had, and super glued them to the bottom lifting the stand about 5/8 of an inch off the desk, allowing air to flow in and opened a section to vent out the top and will see if that helps the temps on this external HD or not

Great idea Vinny, I know that works for some laptops just raising the read of the laptop allows for more air flow.

Sorry No pictures to post I put in the Sparkle 1250watt PSU WOW! what a awesome power supply, runs very cool and quiet! and more power then I will probably ever need lol! On Sunday after several hours of testing and failed stress tests, I finally got it stable at 4.0 I am really stoked!between reading, more reading and following the advice of several people Namely Steve and Joel who provided me with their help I could not have done it without them Steve especially! my wife is still bitching at me for all the calls to Canada lol! that man has the patience of a saint thank you Steve! Now to put it through its paces by doing some bench's

Great news that you are now stable at 4.0. The review on the power supply had me drooling for one. Good luck with it.
