EVGA,S NEW PSU
Has anyone noticed this in the EVGA info on the new classified mother board.
One for all the power freaks me thinks----http://www.evga.com/articles/00537/
1200 watt output , 6x 12v @38a per rail
Even Evga are not adverse to succumbing to a bit of advertising licence......1500w peak !!!
Why not just advertise it,s continuous power, does any one really take note of peak power output-I don,t think so !!
here come the 2kw psu,s maybe!!! overkill any-one?

Re: EVGA,S NEW PSU
I have seen the board and it is an awesome unit! How are ya ever gonna find a case that will fit it and coolers? I think water cooling would be the only logical way to go with this board.
As for the power supply I don't think too many people have the need for a beast like that, but alot of the enthusiasts may pick one up just to have one?

Crossfire X a few 5970's ( so 4 of them ) and a decent clock on an i7 with 12GB ram and your pushing 1KW already.
