I tend to agree really. Slightly odd review from my readings. What standard pc user with no gaming intentions would go with crossfire. ? I find that strange recommendations.

I have narrowed my personal choices down to the 5770 - 5830 - 5850 ,,,, seeing how they devalue over this year will be key in my buy. As really want something extra over the 4870 and every review i checked put the pretty close together. The 4870 outperformed the 5770 on some tasks. :WTF:

You are right mate. I think if this were the 1GB version i would be staying put. But the demand of larger screens on smaller sized cards with the refresh rate is not good for them from stuff i have read. Over 24" they now say 1GB for best returns.

I am happy to sit tight for now. Never know whats round the corner as they say.

You kidding with me or this for real ?? As this will bring down the current 5800 series quiet a bit. Especially those selling there's on Ebay to get the new versions. LOL !!

Another question guys ,,, Especially you Steve as you have probably had one is your grasp at some stage.

I can get a excellent con ATI 4890 X-Vapor 2GB Card for less than a 5770 new. !

I know this card will out perform the 5770 but as would you go this route as the price seems right ? Go the lesser DX11 route.

Thanks

I would consider the pro's and con's of each card DX11 isn't the only reason to switch, eyefinity better BD playback ect. If it is a money thingand your going to save only 40 or 50 bucks I would still go with the 5770.
