May still be air in the loop somewhere?
Have you tried tilting it back and forth again. It is the most common way to get the air out but as Duff stated be carefull to watch the fluid level.

As for a kink in the line, I doubt it as you should be able to see that quite easily.
Keep tinkering you will get it.

I think there is an obstruction. I took off the drain plug and about a third of the water drained out. If I blow into the fill port on the reservoir, air comes out the drain, but there is still over half the water in the reservoir and I think the radiator is still full. Happy, happy joy, joy, happy, happy, joy, joy.

well the system GPU loop ran for about an hour. No problems. So the Rad was flushed while running. When I start the pump is takes off and the reservoir goes down a bit. Then when I shut it off, the reservoir level goes back full. It acts like the out put tube is blocked? Does that sound like the right diagnoses?

Sounds like an air pocket somewhere in the loop.
Is the rad and fans physically attached to the case at the moment? If not see if tilting the rad back and forth will remove any air and get things going?

The rad is attached. I keep trying by tilting the case back and forth. Thanks Joel.

Was the rad flushed without having any blocks attached to the loop or was it filled and flushed while the blocks were connected to the loops?

filled and flushed while the blocks were connected to the loops. I didn't think about flushing them before hand.

It just sounds like air to me, turn the pumps of and flip the chassis on its face and give it a shake, then flip it on its lid and give it a shake.

If you want to try it loosen a connection at the lowest end of each loop one at a time and fill the res the water should force the majority of air out, just go slowly and pay attention have lots of rags stuffed around where you have loosened the connection up.

It's definitely air. *Insert several swear words and f bombs*. I know it. It just seems to be locked in a spot and I can't break it free. I'll get it...I'm not giving up.

Ok, rad is probably not plugged unless it is a big air pocket.

Possible a block on the cards is blocked?

May want to disconnect at blocks, and reconnect loop without blocks and see if flow returns. if so a blockage in one of the blocks.

Sorry you are having to go through this.

I see Duff is here and he may have some better ideas...

Oh yeah...live and learn. I got it to the point of slight flow and then it stopped again as I was sloshing the case around. Doesn't help that I am doing this while trying to work.

Shut down the computer and focus on work at the moment.

Come back to the computer later with a clear head... smile:

Well I am proud to say that I am pretty mechanically inclined. I can't really figure out what I did, but I drained the GPU loop and started over and had no problems. It just doesn't make any sense. I finally have both loops flowing and flowing well. However, there is a lot of bubbles in the lines which is making the pumps a little loud. I know this is normal at first. I have "burped" each loop several times and have gotten most of the large air pockets out of the system. When Steve says to move the case all around newbies, he means shake the piss out of it. Take the drives out, remove what you can, and shake and bake.

Will these annoying bubbles eventually dissipate or will they always be there? Do I need to crack the reservoir fill ports to let some air escape every hour or so? I'd like to get rid of these stupid bubbles on the final fill. If it is one of those things that they will always be there, that kind of sucks. I'm not worried about looks, but more so about the noise they cause the pumps to make. Granted, it is not excessive, but you can hear both loops and they are as loud as the loudest case fans I have ever heard. Perhaps using a fluid other than distilled water would help? Sorry for the nit picking, just want to get this thing right.

They will disappear with time just keep topping up the loop, you will know when its done because the pumps will be silent, at least mine is I don't have a bay res so you may be out of luck I don't want to speculate. Lay the chassis on its front for a bit and let it run then power off and lay it on its back so the air will rise to the res, then sit it right and run the pump again should only take an hour or so. Changing the fluid won't make a difference like I said I run distilled water now with ptnuke.

I would let it sit and run with the fill ports cracked. the little bubbles will work their way through the system forming larger bubbles when this happens seal the system fill ports and start moving the case all over again eventually the air will make it's way up and out.

No I haven't. Last night the CPU loop ran silent for 2 hours and really offered some encouragement. Then when I started burping the GPU loop to remove some air, the CPU loop started with the air noises again. I think it is a combination of two things. As much as it kills me to say it, I think the bay reservoir design of the unit I chose is difficult to get all the air out. I also think that my tubing layout isn't helping me either. I am going to try a slightly different tactic today in hopes of getting this system working. Going to use old fashioned gravity and water pressure to fill it from the bottom up. I'm going to hook a longer tube on the drain tube and hook that to a large 2 litter bottle (modified with fitting on the bottom and air port on the top) of distilled water. Then I am going to hook a tube to the fill port that goes a couple of feet higher than the case. Then I am going to raise the 2 liter higher than the other end until water comes out. If that doesn't do it, I really don't know what will and I'm scraping the bay reservoir. I've just tried everything else and as cool as it looks, it just isn't worth the headache to fill.

I learned the control board that I purchased from Koolance won't control the fans I bought. It only works PWM fans and only 2 amps per plug. It is clearly advertised on the website, I just missed it. I guess I'm going with a traditional analog fan controller. What was the one that Steve recently reviewed and really liked? The control board should still be able to control my pumps, temp monitors and flow meters so it's not a total loss.
