Clone CD and BluRay Disc's
Before I have to do some research I am wondering if anyone knows if Clone CD can make 1:1 copies of BluRay and or HD disc's? It does a wonderful job of CD's and DVD's.

Hi :
Never taken it further, but CloneCD will state Reading from drive failed.
So it doesn't look too hopeful.

Re: Clone CD and BluRay Disc's
Hi :
I did cheat (used ripped file from HDD > folder on HDD.
But the important thing is it works.
Will do dsic > disc over the w/e.
But do not see anything different happening.
After all the files remain the same.
Video playback is MPEG-4 AVC (upto) 30.00 Mbps.
Dolby digital 5.1 448 Kbps.
Plays trailers/warnings.
Subtitles present.
All as original disc.

Hi :
No .... there is NO DIFFERENCE!
CloneCD will report "Read failure" regardless of source.
You just ignore it.
I believe that despite not "recognising the files".
It still "Clones" the media.
Re: Clone CD and BluRay Disc's
Now I am confused. You are talking about Clone CD and not Clone DVD???

Yes we are speaking about Clone CD.
So Martin, your saying that either way the program will report a "Read Failure" but if you ignore it the program continues and completes making a 1:1 copy of the source disc?

Hi :
Precisely.
It appears that as BD files are alien to CloneCD.
It reports a read error/failure.
But like with many early protected CD's.
It just clones all data.
N.B. Have just "Cloned" The Matrix.
Source LG GGC-H20L.
Target Pioneer BDR-203

Re: Clone CD and BluRay Disc's
CloneDVD2 gives you the option to decide which aspects of the disc you want to copy. Or to make full disc copies.
CloneCD makes exact 1:1 copies of the data on the disc being copied.

Hi :
CloneCD vs CloneDVD:
CloneCD:-
CloneCD is the perfect tool to make backup copies of your music and data CDs, regardless of copy protection. CloneCD's award-winning user interface allows you to copy almost any CD in just a few mouse clicks.
Since the release of 5.0, CloneCD is not only able to copy CDs but also most DVD formats, such as DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R Dual Layer and DVD-RAM. The movies are copied 1:1 and therefore not modified (compressed). Note that to copy movie DVDs you also require AnyDVD.
CloneCD also works with other formats such as ISO and UDF files and copies CDs/DVDs with the new SafeDisc 3 Copy Protection System. CloneCD allows you to create perfect 1:1 copies of your valuable original compact discs. Should your copy-protected music CD not play in your car audio, the backup created by CloneCD will.
Slysoft combine knowledge and innovation with many years of experience and direct communication with customers to provide constant improvements, therefore making CloneCD the highest quality copying application around.
CloneDVD:-
CloneDVD 2 copies movies to create unparalleled picture quality DVD backups, whether it’s the main title you’re copying or the complete DVD. CloneDVD will compress long footage at high speed to the highest of quality using specialised transcoding technology, allowing you to select your audio and language settings and also the final target size. Easy for even the novice user, CloneDVD’s intuitive Filmstrip assistant guides you through all the available configuration settings, allowing you to choose which chapters to include and offering the option to trim individual chapters.
A visual quality bar shows how your configuration choices affect the quality of the final copy. Note that copying protected DVDs also requires AnyDVD.

I had 2 of the 3 and now I have 3 of the 3. The 20% discount was nice also.
