AZ-J wrote:Hi all again,

I installed EZ Tune from Gigabyte since my m/b is a Gigabyte brand one. It has three modes, and I run fine at the bottom and at the middle one, but the most o'clocked one, is too hot and a bit unstable.

I managed to raise the speed on the CPU from 2.67 Ghz to 3.15 or so, using it, but it raised the temps to just over 50 C from mid-40's. The speed actually floats from 2.67 to 3.25 or so, measured by the Intel Core i7 processor gadget.

Nice to see you!

Have a look at the link in this thread. http://mcstylists-overclock.forumotion.com/cpu-overclocking-f6/excellent-intel-i7-oveclocing-guide-t12.htm#5537

It has very easy to follow instructions with exact setting used for 3.36 GHz, 3.8 GHz and 4.0 GHz overclocks.

I have tested them all and all worked fantastic with my Board, CPU and hardware!

Please remember to stress test the system for stability and be sure to keep an eye on the temps when overclocking!

I printed 16 pages of that off (duplexed, at least), so this weekend, I'll try some of it. Thanks.
