The 1055T stock is 2.8 GHz so 4GHz is a 1.2GHz jump

Ya but the i7 920 is only 2.66GHz and it goes to 4.0 on air in some cases and even beyond.

Have ya clocked it at all yet and or do you plan to. My i7 runs plenty fast without being overclocked but you got me hooked. lol!

First attempt at over clocking the 1090T. Stock is 3.2. I then went to 3.6, and then 3.8, and then 4.0. I ran Prime95 for about 5 minutes on each. I will back it down to 3.8 and run Prime95 overnight.

It looks like you could leave it at 4.0GHz and then run prime overnight. if after 5 minutes it only hit 52 degrees it will probably be just fine.

Did you change any voltages or just the multiplier when overclocking?

Nice job Bob that is gonna be a sweet setup ya have! :D:

For the 4.0 I have the cpu multiplier at x20, cpu nb freq at x13, cpu freq at 200, and the ht link freq at x10.
I started with cpu voltage at 1.40 and raised it to 1.45 and cpu nb vid voltage from 1.20 to 1.225.

Used a combination of suggestions from various sites. I have not tried to go higher yet.

Have you done any stability testing yet for longer periods? Try Linx at 25000 problems it takes an hour so you don't need to run overnight with prime 95

Thanks, Steve. I'll google it for the download. Is it easy to use? The thing about Prime95 is that I'm not sure if I am using it the correct way.

Screenshot of completed LinX test. Not enough memory for 25000 problems.

Thanks Steve. I like the 1090t very much but I haven't really started to use it full time yet. I made a mistake when I bought the 30G SSD, using it only for the OS but already it is down to less than 7G of overhead. Newegg had the OCZ SSD2-1VTX60G RTL for under $100 so I ordered one to replace the 30G. After I set that up I will reload my programs onto 2 WD 1T in raid 0 and see how it goes.
