I'm not sure I can. My highest multiplier seems to be 21 and that's what I am running.

Here the GPU-Z of my new graphics card hooked HDMI.

Interesting AZ-J ,

How are you liking that new card ?

I will be needing a larger card myself over this next year and am not
sure which area to go.

I have the 4870 , but would like to go 1GB graphics on his 32" LCD
especially now im using HDMI also.

I looked at the 5770 but they are not supposed to be much better
performance than the 4870 , just more memory and much greener. That is
the point that i like about it , with all the DX11 features too.

But the best for me would be the 5850 as 4hams has installed. Awesome
units. But in the UK they are £250. Not being a gamer its not worth the
investment.

So would you recommend the 5770 series ?

Thanks

McT

Highly, McT, it has been great! Quiet, cool, and great graphics too. It is higher rated by the Windows Experience Index than my older SLI 9800GT dual cards were, as well. My extra bonus was escaping the nVidia/Realtek driver conflict that cause SLI setups to BSOD on restart if SLI is enabled. That was a disaster.

BTW, how do the CPU-Z, Core-Temp, and GPU-Z pictures look? I ask because those were partial screen captures, using Win 7's Snipping Tool with the new 5770.

I assume your 32" monitor has an HDMI input as my 24" Acer does? The 5770 with an HDMI output (mine is XFX) is a great fit!

But, we have a wall-mounted 42" LCD HDTV as a monitor for our office conference room PC (it has HDMI out on the M/B). We have to shut the LCD TV off, as the PC cannot. My Acer monitor screen saves and powers off. It all works great, and no BSOD!!!

That is promising to hear AZ-J

I am pretty much on the exact same setup. I am using the HDMI now with the 4870 but since its only 512MB , i would like to upgrade on that option without buying the same technology. The 5770 fits the bill perfectly as its DX11 capable too. Though keep an eye out for the 5830 !! This thing is to be the inbetween of the 5700 series and the 5800 series. At the moment prices still over £200 which is over my proposed budget. We will see how things plan out. smile

Have you downloaded any benching software for the card , just to see when applicationally its capable of ? Try sandra lite , its a great free benchmarking tool.

Downloading. If it provides a static end display, I'll post that later.

The displays are not static McT, so you'll have to take my word for this.

Sandra Lite ranks the 5770 1GB card in the i7 920 processor as equal to a 5870 1GB, and as higher than two 4870 1GB cards in Crossfire mode.

WOW ! ! !

That is impressive AZ-J

If you even take a snap of one part of the bench it would be interesting to see for everyone looking to snap one up.

Not that i do not believe you ..... lol! I do my friend.

Thanks for the excellent feedback.

This was the GPU test.

What tests do you want to see Craig?

Sure you can! I have faith in you!

Have a look at this very basic but yet fantastic guide for overclocking the i7 920. This is a great guide that i used and had fantastic result right off the bat. Be sure to keep close eye on the temps while clocking and be sure to do some stress testing to be sure the temps and everything are ok.

That is the test , anything GPU is good to see.

See if you guys can snap a shot of the graph or rank results as its easier for us looking on to see the differences.

How long do the tests take to complete? I will start one now and let it run.

Should not be longer than 5mins really. This program is pretty good does what needs to be done to calculate a decent set of numbers.

It will be funny to see just how much better the 5800 series are over the 4800 i have I imagine it will be over double performance.

I am interested in AZ-J 's 5770 results too. Costing £115 if it performs its a quality card to buy.
