Post by McstylisT on Sun May 02, 2010 6:34 am

Good day everyone.

Cold rainy gloomy day in the UK this afternoon.

Sold off a weight bench i did not use last night for a few $$$ so that will help on the HTPC build front :D

Also looking to sell off this current x58 DFI micro ATX motherboard for a high end ATX one at some stage: D Will put this on the Members mall at some stage if anyone is interested in a cheap X58 build :D

Coffee is on , all varieties available so please pull up a chair and enjoy.

I also forgot to mention guys , this weekend a brand new store opened at our local shopping centre.

Its BestBuy :clapjoy: I know more commonly know across the pond.

These guys have caused mayhem. As an opening gesture they were selling £600+ 37" Samsung LCD's for only £179  A Sony PS3 & Xbox360 's only £50.
They have even said all LCD's and Plasmas bought from now until June , If England win the Soccer world cup this summer then they will refund the whole amount of the TV. Cool.

This caused mass queuing and the whole area was grid locked. Have not even managed to get into the store yet but will try tomorrow and see if any of the deals are left. Not as a keep but to sell on for profit.: D :HAHA:

If i ever get in there i will let you know what i think.

If you guys want to try them out let me know, LOL I didn't think they were anything special but hey chicks are weird.

2 Cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter melted
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 cups semi-sweet choc chips

1. Preheat oven to 325F Grease cookie sheets
2. Sift together baking soda, flour, salt; set aside
3. In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg and egg yolk unilt light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended, stir in the choc chips with a wooden spoon.

Make sure the cookies are about 3" apart on the sheet

4. Bake for 15 to 17 min in the preheated oven or until the edges are lightly toasted. Cool on the baking sheet for few mins to let set then move them to a wire rack to finish cooling.

ENJOY and becarefull this is not a replacement for the real macoy if you catch my drift.

No, it may not be a "replacement"... yes..caught the DRIFT.. but even a chocolate chip inspired Wooooohoooo is better than nothing at all! Thank you for the recipe!! Razz  Chuckle... if i make this for the gals at work i wonder how many will be a bitmore than delighted... i had a weird night at work last night.. lets put it this way.. poor x-ray tech came up to shoot a film of one of the babies at about 5am... we're full beyond capacity. 14 babies and capacity is 12 at the moment... it is definitely a preemie spring this year... and he got full force of my brand of abnoxious.. poor guy got sent running for the hills I am sure. I will have to find out who he is and apologize to him for my uncooth behavior...but heck is was 5am! I got the last name off his uniform though so at least that.
