Hi
As the key member of management has retired.
Where do you think you go?
As a forum that is.
Just carry on as you are.
(Not a problem, though long term, future - time/threads/posts may be better placed elsewhere.)
Merge with knowledgetree.
(Forums amended to make more of the overclocking etc.
Could even be called McTs' if required.)
Existing threads could be copied/pasted perhaps.
So as to have some continuity.
Anyway the choice is yours.
Someone could take over the forum.
If interested, I may be able to help in changing founder.
See here.

Re: This forum
Well IMO, with Craig disappearing and Joel tired of the forum I say just merge it over to your site Martin, this place is dead anyways all we have is our regulars there is no point in carrying on when traffic is slowly dropping off.

Hi
Whilst (if I am honest) this my viewpoint.
It is obviously in the hands of the individual members to do what best suits them.
Though thanks for posting your opinion so promptly.
Now lets' see if anyone else agrees or not...
Re: This forum
I have no problem either way. There are only about six members that log in regularly so a merge may be the best. Is it possible to tranfer some of the threads over to Knowledgetree site? There are some threads here that would be a shame to lose.
Since you do most (all) of the work Martin, whatever is easier for you.

Hi
The only way to "Transfer" threads/posts.
Would be to copy & paste.
Ethically then, all such threads/posts..
Would need the OP of each thread/post to participate.
Failing that ... written permission.
I would suggest that if knowledgetree were to become the new home.
Forums could be created to assimilate McT's.
Links to the origins posted there.
This in theory would keep this forum ticking over.
Thereby reducing any likelihood of it ceasing.
I am in the process of revamping forums over @ knowledetree anyway.

I would agree with the idea of merging with Knowledgetree, otherwise this place will eventually die.....

Re: This forum
Hi
OK some suggestions.
Disable "Portal".
Not used in anything like the way other forums are.
Also could aid traffic here by giving less options.
Knowledgtree now has some new forums taken (though I would like to say inspired by McTs' & its members) from here.
I have tried taking scrolling screenshot of SavageNFS "New build for me..."
This was too big to load however.
So left a link for now.
http://www.knowledge-tree-uk.org/t1601-savagenfs-build#7501
Other options would be to do it by section.
30 pages is a lot to do this way.
Alternative is for author to remove the actual pics.
But leave links... ie https://2img.net/r/ihimg/g/843/13092011200113.png/
in each relevant post.
Then whole pages may well be uploaded.
I also suggest that all members should be emailed & updated on any current/future actions.
This could bring all sorts out of the wood work.
Even the founder!
Anyway enough for now.
Cheers Martin

Re: This forum
Hi
As you all should be aware I have sent a mass email.
This hopefully is just to update members.
If lucky we could see new life breathed into this place.
I have left the area of whether the founder be replaced.
Feeling it better to see what (if any ) response the email gets.
Of course any & all members are more than welcome at knowledgetree

Hi
My apologies to those who haven't as yet seen this email.
Have you checked spam?
Now use a different email to when you signed up?
The email (have checked settings) should have been received by all members.
However it looked like this.

Hi
As some folk already know.
It seemed only fair to update all.
It is now over a year since Craig’s' last visit (Mcstylist).
He was/is the founder.
So some rights are his alone.
More recently Joel (4hams) has retired from management.
One cannot overstate Joel’s' contribution to how the looks today.
However with 2 key players either absent or taking a backseat.
Now would seem an ideal opportunity to take stock.
With a small but very loyal hard core.
The forum can continue indefinitely.
But changes to the overall look & feel.
Will probably not change.
Craig started off down the free forums route with me.
Briefly with knowledge tree in a management post.
He soon decided to go it alone with a very firm idea of his own.
Along with Joel they have taken it to where it is.
The future.
Well you can continue with McTs' as forumotion isn't going to close this forum down.
Of current members only the founder can do that.
An alternative could be to look at knowledge tree.
Similar to navigate.
So little in that area to learn.
Knowledge tree is a more diverse concept.
Meaning it could go anywhere in terms of features etc.
Forum traffic is way more than McTs'.
Yet has a similar amount of active members.
Your choice is to continue (or not) here.
Possibly unsupported in terms of management.
Join knowledge tree which has already forums to mirror here.
Hopefully helping any transition.
Put more into other forums that meet your specific needs more.
Please do not feel any pressure to respond.
This intended for your information only.
Many thanks to you all.
Cheers Martin (zebadee)
