Overclocking an e8400 for Steve
Here are some websites that should be able to help ya overclock that puppy Steve.
http://www.legionhardware.com/articles_pages/intel_core_2_duo_e8400_overclocking_guide,2.html
http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=2394&page=3
Please remember how important it is to stress test each overclock to be sure the system is stable and not overheating. heat should not be an issue for you considering the Coolit Elite cooler you are using.
Give these guides a read and if ya feel confident enough after reading go for it. Logan at PUREOC I think knows his stuff on the E8400's and may also be a great resource as I have never played with one of these puppy's.
Your mission Steve if you see fit to try will have you at or close to 4.0 GHz when I return from Cuba in about a week and a half. Best of luck Steve, I have faith in you and I am also sure that Duffer could be of great assistance!

Yes it "was" snappy for sure, but now it's a slug as it is back to stock now. :(:
That's ok though because in the near future I will have something better. :D:

Re: Overclocking an e8400 for Steve
Well, cause it's already sorted out. I had a couple of issues that came together yesterday and now it's up to me to get going.
In fact I put the E8400 PC on the work table tonight in preparation to remove the Elite and put things back the way they were, THEN start the NEW BUILD.
